This is a wonderful cast bronze English Aesthetic Movement gaselier, circa 1870. It has wonderful details on the arms and body, and is finely cast. It has an unusual finish that will be toned down from the bright copper color in the photo. When we bought it, the chains, shaft tubing and ceiling cap were all missing, but all of these additions are appropriate for the style and period. In particular, the brass double-jack chains add a nice touch. The shades are finely etched crowns in a floral Aesthetic motif. Approximate current dimensions as pictured are: 30" in width/diameter by 29" in length.
