The computer-enhanced plates are outstanding! You did a nice job showing the evolution of the gas light over 1870s, 1880s and the 1890s. I also like how you suggested to new home restorer to compare the vintage fixture to the reproduction and see how they enhance one's living space. I feel one of the most important thing you highlight was, an owner of a gas fixture should be sensitive to the beauty and the age of the light. And take the time to have the lamp wired properly and make sure to keep the drill in the toolbox. As we all have seen, there are too many early brackets that have been drilled and poorly wired.
