Pair Antique Cut Crystal Candle Wall Sconces
Hard-to-find pair of all-original American cut crystal wall sconces, circa 1860, possibly by Hooper of Boston. These came out of a fabulous old Yankee estate, still wrapped in their 1870s newsprint! Each sconce consists of a heavy cast-bronze plate and two delicate Rococo arms that hold the glass bobeches, prisms and candle cups. Amazingly, all of the original glass prisms are still here! However, three of the cups have been reattached to their brass mountings (not visible and in no way detracts from sconces), and one of the bobeches is cracked (this has been glued and is barely visible even upon close inspection. These are wonderfully elegant sconces that will look great in any formal setting. We welcome any questions!
Price for the pair $800
